Rev. Jason Andrews

Jason Andrews was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia in March of 1976. He attended Pittsylvania County Schools and graduated from Gretna High School in 1994. Jason was working as a part time disc jockey and radio host with WMNA 106.3 Radio Station located in Gretna in his high school years.

Jason married Jessica Burnette in May of 1998 in the little country church, Zion United Methodist church just east of Gretna. They have four children Rebecca, Emily, Marie and Noah Andrews. The family lives just north of Gretna on Blue Ridge Dr.

Jason went to work for Abbott Labs at their Altavista facility after graduation and worked there for 17 years before being called into the ministry.  After being very active in his local church, Zion United Methodist,  through various roles as Sunday School teacher and Men’s Ministries President he began classes through the Methodist church to become a Lay Speaker in the area Methodist churches. In March of 2008 he received his certificate of Lay Speaking Ministry from the Lynchburg District United Methodist Church.  Jason Served as Lay Leader in Zion church for 2 years and began preaching at other local churches when called upon to fill in for their pastor.  After filling in at Round Pond Baptist Church for a few months he was asked stay as their pastor in 2012. He was ordained at Round Pond and received his Pastoral Certificate through the Baptist General Association of Virginia also in 2012.

Jason was called to pastor Summersett Baptist Church in May of 2013. He has continually been active in the community and serving various roles in ministry. He enjoys playing the guitar and singing gospel music at different events. His children regularly sing with him as they spread the gospel message of Jesus Christ! Jason gives God all the Glory through Christ Jesus for the blessings received by his family and the church at Summersett.
